A New Anchor Point on Sudan's Transmission Backbone
On behalf of the Sudanese Electricity Transmission Company (SETCO), ICC Energy DWC-LLC designed, supplied, and constructed a 500/220 kV Power Transformation Substation and its associated interconnection works at Khartoum/Rabak. Delivered on a fully turnkey basis, the project represents ICC Energy's largest and highest-voltage substation to date — a facility built to step down Sudan's 500 kV transmission network to 220 kV distribution level, feeding one of the country's most critical grid corridors.
The contract called for a complete Design-Build-Turnkey delivery: engineering studies, equipment procurement, civil and electromechanical construction, testing, and final grid interconnection, all within a 24-month execution window.

Five Disciplines, One Integrated Handover
Constructed across a 120,000 m² site, the project required the coordination of engineering, procurement, civil works, testing, and grid interconnection into a single turnkey delivery:

Underneath that single line of certification sits everything the project represents: 24,000 meters of earthing conductor, ten 500 kV circuit breakers, two autotransformers each heavier than most substations' entire switchyards, and two years of engineering, procurement, and construction carried out to specification. For ICC Energy, Khartoum/Rabak stands as the company's most technically demanding transformation substation to date — and a marker of how far its EPC capability now reaches.
